Mishel Trajkovski

Mishel Trajkovski is a Macedonian accordionist, composer, and graduated ethnomusicologist from the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje. His sound moves between Macedonian tradition, Balkan temperament, ethno jazz, and contemporary stage energy.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with prominent names from the Macedonian folk and pop scene, including Naum Petreski, Ferus Mustafov, Dzambo Agushev, Violeta Tomovska, Efto Pupinovski, Ilija Ampevski - Ampe, Ljuboyna, Elena Velevska, Aneta Micevska, and many others.

2026

Continuing the collaboration with Rade Šerbedžija

In 2026, Skopje Via continues its collaboration with Rade Šerbedžija through the promotion of a new song and music video.

That same year, Mishel also creates movie music for the film “White Widow”.

2025

Skopje Via and new concert stages

Since 2025, Mishel Trajkovski, together with actress and vocalist Jana Stojanovska, has created the gypsy project “Skopje Via”, guided by the motto “Being Gypsy is a state of the soul”.

Their first concert performance took place on July 9, 2025, at Intermezzo Music Bar. That same year they performed at Roma Fest on August 2, held a solo concert in Budapest on October 15, and appeared at PIN Conference on November 26.

As part of their artistic journey, they appeared as special guests at Rade Šerbedžija’s concert at the Macedonian Philharmonic, performed in Montenegro (Podgorica and Ulcinj), and took part in prestigious music festivals in Macedonia.

Mishel appeared as a musical guest at the three-day music-theatre spectacle “K-15” in Macedonia, and with Jana Stojanovska he is also part of the theatre-music spectacle “Brod plovi za Beograd”.

A particularly significant moment in his career is the open-air solo concert as part of “Karpoš Cultural Summer 2025”, where he performs under the name “Mishel Trajkovski Orchestra”.

Skopje Via members are Jana Stojanovska - vocals, Mishel Trajkovski - accordion, Hilmi Baki - violin, Stefan Koteski - trumpet, Pate Conga - percussion, Kiril Zlatanovski - bass guitar, and Marche - guitar.

2022

New original work and film music

Mishel continues his creative work as a composer and performer, announcing new music albums. In parallel, he stands out as a composer of film music, creating the main soundtrack composition for “Te dua, Žimi mene” and participating in the music realization of the documentary film “K-15”.

2020

Collaboration with Naum Petreski

Since 2020, he has been in continuous cooperation with Naum Petreski. Mishel, together with violinist Hilmi Baki and the other members of the band, is present at the music events of the great Macedonian vocalist.

2019

Macedonian All Stars and original albums

Together with Dzambo Agushev and the band “Macedonian All Stars”, he performs two major concerts in France. The band was created by Mishel and Dzambo, with Ivan Kukic, David Demir, Ratko Dautovski, and Antonio Timchevski.

That same year, with Ilija Ampevski - Ampe, he composes two albums of original music.

2018

Folk Fest Valandovo

Mishel is invited to be part of the large Macedonian folk orchestra, performing at Folk Fest Valandovo, one of the most famous festivals for Macedonian music.

2015

First album “Dances and Dreams”

On December 20, 2015, at the age of 20, he promotes his first album “Ора и соништа” (“Dances and Dreams”), proving himself as one of the youngest composers in Macedonia.

The composition “Tarantino Jazz” announces his musical direction: a blend of tango segments, jazz variations, and Balkan swing.

2014

International success with folk instruments

As part of his music high school team, playing tambourine, he wins an international competition for folk instruments.

2013

“Zajdi, zajdi” talent and the Tanec ensemble

Mishel is named the first Macedonian “Zajdi, zajdi” talent in a competition with more than 5000 participants. That same year he becomes part of the Youth Orchestra of the National Ensemble “Tanec”.

2008

Confirmed competition success

In 2008, he again wins first prize at the State Ethno Accordion Competition.

1994

Beginnings

Mishel Trajkovski was born on July 1, 1994. At the age of seven he began studying accordion, and by the age of 13 he had won first prize at the State Ethno Accordion Competition.
